About

Speech Therapy Orientation and Clinical Background

My name is Sullivan Kiley, known more commonly as Sully, and often confused as the big blue monster by my littles in pediatrics. As the founder and sole practitioner of Northern Pine Speech Therapy, my mission is to prioritize the needs of my clients and their families above all else. I offer comprehensive home-health speech therapy services to Northern Vermont (45-minute radius from Stowe, VT). Additionally, I provide specialized teletherapy to all of Vermont and Oregon (note: I limit my teletherapy services to fluency, early-intervention parent coaching for speech-language delays and neurodivergent populations to ensure consistency in my quality care). I hold a Master's Degree from the University of Vermont, possess my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), and am in the process of accreditation as a Board Certified Specialist in Stuttering, Cluttering, and Fluency Disorders (BCS-SCF), where I hold extensive knowledge and credentials towards supporting children and adults who stutter and clutter. While I treat a variety of areas, my focuses include early-intervention parent coaching, early-intervention parent coaching for neurodivergent populations, oro-myofunctional therapy, and fluency. The primary reason for starting Northern Pine Speech Therapy was to establish a practice where I can put clients and their families first. I’m extremely passionate about speech therapy. I believe that in order to provide top-tier quality care, a clinician must listen to all needs of the client, understand the concern, identify underlying causes and contributing areas, and incorporate a holistic care plan that serves the entire person, not just a singular challenge. I am able to treat in this way by putting a cap on my caseload and accepting private pay and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont. My decision to do this allows me more time to work directly with my clients, giving me the space to be patient and flexible in our sessions. If you do not have Blue Cross Blue Shield, I am happy to provide you with a superbill which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of services provided. A little about me personally, I am a born and raised Vermonter, originally residing in the Northeast Kingdom. Rock climbing and backcountry skiing brought me to Oregon in 2019 where I spent five years exploring and honing my skills as an outdoorsman. Vermont's alluring beauty and welcoming presence brought me back. You can now find me, my partner Sara, and our dog Teton, doing what we do best, soaking up moments in the outdoors and always looking for our next adventure! If you are interested in a free consultation, rates, or have general questions about this practice, please call or reach out through the contact tab at the top.
